Our Guildford store is handily located near two of Guildford’s main routes, the A25 and A3. This means it’s also within easy reach of London’s orbital road, the M25. Locally, London Road Railway Station is just under a mile away and Guildford Railway Station is less than 1.5 miles distance from the store. Several routes also run past Ladymead from Friary Bus Station in Guildford. A good local landmark to look out for is the Guildford Fire Station, who are our next-door neighbours. The store itself is just off the junction of the A25 and Stoke Road / Woking Road.
Our stylish new store in Ladymead has 42,000 sq. ft. of stunning furniture beautifully displayed over two floors. And it’s just waiting to be discovered.
It’s our eleventh store in the UK and our third in the south, alongside Battersea and Hove. Offering the perfect showcase for our unique blend of home furnishings – as well as a tempting café and plenty of free parking – it’s the ideal opportunity to turn your house into a Barker and Stonehouse.
Our Guildford store recently hosted the Guildford Society Design Awards – and even picked up an award itself. Recognising good standards of design, the award scheme aims to safeguard Guildford’s architectural standards and heritage. The store, designed by architect Ian Akroyd, was chosen thanks to its innovative structure and eco-friendly living wall.
Thanks to an enviable team spirit and willingless to 'get stuck in', we've got behind a number of causes recently including the staff at Guildford entering the 'It's a knockout' challenge in aid of Cherry Trees, a respite centre for children with complex disabilities.
