Behold, curtain-twitchers - today is Delivery Day.


With the majority of our furniture now being delivered by ourselves - you can be the envy of the street when your neighbours see a Barker and Stonehouse delivery van arrive at your door - we see you peering through the curtains number 10, you don't have to pretend to water that plant, pop over for a cup of tea, you're more than welcome!

Our dedicated drivers are also experts at guiding through the tightest of spaces and they won't just deliver your furniture but they will make sure its right where you want it to be - in front of the window for everyone to see.

Jokes aside, we know how important delivery day is and we pledge to make it as smooth as possible. Our 5 star reviews will make you feel as comfortable as our furniture, read more here.

How much is delivery?

Click and Collect | FREE
All furniture and accessories can be collected for free from any of our 4 warehouses. Selected accessories can also be collected from any of our 11 stores.
Large furniture | £99 DELIVERED BY BARKER AND STONEHOUSE
Examples include sofas, sofa beds, and wardrobes.
Medium furniture | £69 DELIVERED BY BARKER AND STONEHOUSE
Examples include recliner chairs, beds, dining tables, dining sets and cabinets.
Medium furniture | £49 DELIVERED BY DX 2 CREW
Examples include armchairs, TV units, console and coffee tables, sideboards and chest of drawers.
Selected items with a high-finish surface (glass, ceramic, stone, gloss, etc.) require specialist handling. These will be delivered directly by our team at a charge of £59. Please refer to individual product pages for details.
Mattresses | £29 DELIVERED BY BARKER AND STONEHOUSE
Small furniture | £15 DELIVERED BY DPD
Examples include dining chairs, bar stools and small tables. *Please note: 4 or more dining chairs and some larger/heavier items will be charged at £29.
Small Accessories | £6 DELIVERED BY DPD
Examples include table lamps, soft furnishings, clocks, home decor, plants.
Large Accessories & Rugs | £29 DELIVERED BY DPD
Examples include rugs, ceiling and floor lamps, mirrors, clocks and wall art that are over 1m/30kg.
Assisted Delivery | £149 DELIVERED BY BARKER AND STONEHOUSE
A small proportion of our products require an 2+ person assisted delivery due to the size and weight of the item. You can find this information on the product page.
Delivery of multiple items
When ordering multiple items with different delivery charges and timescales, the highest delivery charge and longest delivery lead time will apply. *Please note accessories available on a shorter lead time will arrive to you separately.
Assembly
Garden | £49
We offer assembly on all our garden furniture. If you would like us to assemble this for you on delivery, you can add this to your order at the checkout.

Please note, we are unable to offer assembly for the following postcodes: BB, BL, CA, DG, EH, FK, FY, G, KA, KY, LA, ML, OL, PR, TD.
Beds | £49
We offer fitting on a selection of beds within these postcodes: BD, DE, DH, DL, DN, HD, HG, HX, HU, LE, LN, LS, NE, NG, S, SR, TS, WF, YO.

How long will delivery take?
For in stock items, delivery will usually take 7-10 working days. Please see individual product pages for delivery due dates and special order dates.
Do you deliver to my area?
We deliver to Mainland UK only (this excludes Ireland, Northern Ireland and Islands).

Some areas are classed as long-distance and will take slightly longer to get to you. We will agree a week for delivery and the week before your delivery we will contact you by text twice; once to confirm the exact day and the other to confirm the exact time, so you always know exactly where you stand.
What are long-distance deliveries?

What to expect on delivery day...
Medium and Large Furniture items & Mattresses:
  • These items will be delivered by one of our Barker and Stonehouse vans or one of our trusted delivery partners.
  • The day before delivery, we'll send you a text message with your two-hour delivery window.
  • On the day of delivery you'll receive a call from our delivery team to let you know when they're 30 minutes away.
  • The majority of our furniture will be delivered to you fully assembled and in some cases, even assembled on delivery (there will be some exceptions that are self assembly, you can find this information on the product page).
  • The delivery team will take the item to a room of your choice and take away all packaging.
  • Small Furniture, Dining Chairs, Rugs & Accessories:
  • These will be delivered by us or our trusted delivery partner.
  • The day before delivery, you will receive an email stating when goods are dispatched.
  • On the day of delivery receive text message with a 1 hour delivery window
  • These items will be delivered boxed, assembly is required.
  • Long distance delivery:
  • These items will be delivered by us.
  • Once your order is placed, our team will contact you to agree a week for delivery.
  • The week before your scheduled delivery, you will receive a text message between Monday and Wednesday confirming your delivery day for the following week. Please note that, due to logistics, this date cannot be changed.
  • On the day of delivery you'll receive a call from our delivery team to let you know when they're 1-2 hours away.
  • The majority of our furniture will be delivered to you fully assembled and in some cases, even assembled on delivery (there will be some exceptions that are self assembly, you can find this information on the product page).
  • The delivery team will take the item to a room of your choice and take away all packaging.
  • Can you hold onto my furniture if I'm not ready for it?
    If there is a problem please speak to us and we will try and help as best we can.
    Can you take my old furniture?
    We have partnered with Clearabee, who offer a quick and easy furniture recycling service. Recycling your old furniture is a great way to be more sustainable and reduce the amount of waste that goes into landfill. Read more here
    I'm concerned about delivery access to my property?
    Whilst our delivery team are used to dealing with tricky spaces, they do need to know if there are any difficulties to deal with on arrival. You can let us know if you think there may be a problem when we call you to arrange delivery, once your order has been placed. If you have any concerns and wish to speak with someone before you place an order, please call us on 0333 010 2353.

    Simply refer to our handy furniture measuring guide to find out everything you need to know. You can even print the document, add your measurements, and bring it along to one of our stores for further help.
