The more I speak to people about property styling, the more I realise just how many of us don’t know what it is or don’t know of its importance. It’s an incredible way to sell your home quickly, beautifully and at your sale price (or above in some cases!)

You can make use of your existing furniture and items, planning them in a way that suits the rooms, whilst giving you optimum comfort, space and function. Tips for preparing your home for viewings
Dust and clean surfaces
Even just a quick clean will freshen your whole property and allow you to find any cobwebs or dead flies, which as small as they are, could be very off putting for buyers. Don't forget to vacuum too - it makes any room feel immediately lighter and clearer.
Set up your table
Set the scene with either a dining set or morning coffee and fresh fruit. Think about your ideal day and how you love to live and create a vision for your viewers.
Plump up your cushions
This gives the sense that you care about your property and that you’re proud of its appearance.
Turn on mood lighting
Mood lighting will create a lovely glow, especially floor and table lamps. Leave the main lighting off where possible as these can sometimes be a little bit too bright.
Fill your home with lovely scents
Flip your diffusers and light some scented candles just before your viewers arrive. It gives the rooms that extra sensory experience. Another age old classic is to brew some coffee or bake some bread for a homely vibe.
Put some soft music on
Stick to something simple such as classical music or light jazz to create a relaxed ambience.
