Sun Lounger FAQs

Have a different question?
Speak to an expert today.
During summer months, you can leave sun loungers outside for the season, but they’re best stored away during rainier parts of the year. Our garden loungers are designed to withstand the elements, but extra maintenance using furniture covers and protective coatings may be necessary for preventing any weather damage. UV rays from sunlight can also cause damage to any decorations, so make sure your cushions and other décor aren’t exposed to the sun for too long.
We offer sun loungers in a range of materials to suit gardens of any style. Our aluminium loungers are lightweight with a sleek, modern look. For easy cleaning and a classic style, browse our rattan sun loungers. If you’re after a lounger that will resist bad weather and withstand repeated use, consider our teak wood options.
Cleaning your sun lounger and keeping it in appropriate shape will depend on what material it’s built from, but all models should generally be covered during winter months. Rattan loungers can be hosed down and dried with a cloth, using a brush to clean dirt out of any hard-to-reach areas. Teak wood loungers will need a layer of teak oil applied every six to twelve months to prevent issues like rot and dryness. Aluminium frames should be cleaned with soapy water and dried thoroughly with a cloth.
Before storing your sun lounger, ensure that it has been properly cleaned and dried to prevent damage from mould, mildew, or dust. Once prepared, store them securely in a dry place such as a shed or garage. For larger loungers that may not fit, try using furniture covers to defend from rain.
