Thinking of updating your interior for the new year? One of the easiest ways to bring a fresh, new look into your home is with the latest colour trend.

According to design and colour experts, 2017 is all about shades of green.

From deep forest to mint and olive, green decor will add a natural, botanical-inspired look to our homes. Pantone recently announced their colour of the year; Greenery, a refreshing and revitalizing shade.

“Greenery is a fresh and zesty yellow-green shade that evokes the first days of spring when nature’s greens revive, restore and renew. Illustrative of flourishing foliage and the lushness of the great outdoors, the fortifying attributes of Greenery signals consumers to take a deep breath, oxygenate and reinvigorate.” Pantone

Celebrity interior designer Martyn Lawrence-Bullard recently agreed that green is “strong again.” From lime green to emerald, the hue works throughout the home—whether it’s as a wall color or a room-filling rug.

California designer Becki Owens said “When I was growing up, forest green was everywhere, but we got sick of it and felt it was too heavy and formal. Now it’s making a modern, moody comeback.”

One of the best ways to make a bold statement in a room is with one of our stunning green sofas. Keep it contemporary by choosing on-trend fabrics such as velvet. The Belmont Sofa is upholstered in a grass-coloured velvet fabric and features a retro-inspired shape with slim arms and tapered wooden legs.
