A new year brings a sense of renewal and with it, an itch to update your surroundings. Once the Christmas decorations have been taken down, your rooms may be crying out for a little January rejuvenation.

Hit refresh on your interior with our Winter Moods. Every now and again, we pop into our studio and put together a few new looks to inspire the new season. It’s a bit like ‘thinking in pictures’ for our styling team, as we do it to help us test out different combinations of furniture, accessories and colours.

Influenced by the latest trends, these new winter looks provide a little spark of inspiration to kick start 2021 in style. So you can get out of that New Year slump and fall in love with your interior again.

Northern Lights: Cool Calm and Cosy

Add a touch of contemporary Nordic comfort to your home with our cool and calming Northern Lights look.

Winter Moods: Northern Lights

We started this look thinking about Scandi style. The Hague dining set combines a simple black table with wishbone chairs for an iconic Scandinavian look that’s so on trend right now.

Icy blue walls paired with the Hague rattan sideboard looks chic, calm and understated. Rattan is a huge trend right now and this sideboard is a great example of its use. It’s the perfect piece of furniture for delivering a wow-factor without overpowering the rest of the room.

Blue is naturally a cool colour but we’ve teamed it with the lovely comfy Daisy armchair in a highly textured soft fabric and then layered up chunky textured throws to bring a sense of hygge and cosiness.

Dried florals are another big styling trend this season and here we’ve made good use of dried grasses. It’s a cost effective and versatile way to soften the scheme whilst making a style statement.

Madam Monty: Dark and Decadent

Madam Monty is a bold look that will bring a touch drama to your home. We love this look for its eclectic and noirish romance.

Our inspiration was the colour palette and flowers that you often see in ‘old master’ still life paintings. Inspired by these stunning pieces of art, we’ve mixed rich colours such as emerald green and peacock blue with opulent textures and tons of visual interest.

Let’s start with the Kinsey chairs. Their studding and size, combined with the rich blue velvet upholstery, make them something of a show-stopper. We’ve teamed them with the Keeler table which is quite masculine in its scale and textures but also very practical and more or less indestructible whether you’re dining or doing homework. It works as an excellent counterpoint to the velvet chairs.

The Windermere sofa adds another pop of colour in gorgeous green velvet. Paired with aubergine walls, we’ve pulled together the look with rugs and fresh flowers for a coherent and lavish scheme.

Gold accessories such as the wall mirror and bird wall light add a quirky finishing touch.

Angel Delight: Soft, Warm and Wonderful

Have fun with a fresh and playful colour palette, guaranteed to deliver a bit of joy. With our Angel Delight look, we’ve gone completely pure-play on the colour to deliver a bit of easy-to-achieve drama.

Cinder toffee and burnt orange velvets make a bold yet comforting statement, making them a perfect choice for the colder months. The Purcell sofa adds a pop of colour and pairs beautifully with dusky pink walls for an unexpected yet beautiful look. You don’t have to go all-out, as a chair or set of cushions could give you the same colour-kick without being all-encompassing.

To finish the look, we added shimmering metallics, soft satins and quilted details for an extra dose of drama. The Apollo dining table in white marble and gold brings a luxe vibe to this trend, especially when paired with the Rivington chair in taupe fabric.

So, why not give one of these looks a go and add a new lease of life to your home this January! For more inspiration, shop our Winter Moods looks online.
