The charity, established in memory of student Jessica Gauntley who lost her battle with a brain tumour in February 2013, promotes awareness of the signs and symptoms of brain tumours in young people.
Started by Jessica’s parents, John and Karen, the foundation also helps to fund vital research into the prevention, treatment and cure of brain tumours in young people and helps to brighten the lives of young cancer sufferers.
The annual Trent College sporting dinner also sought to encourage the importance of getting boys and girls into sport from an early age, and guests were treated to a host of Q+As with Olympic heroes Katherine Grainger, Gail Emms and Jade Jones.
The sporting stars spent the evening being interviewed on the donated Barker and Stonehouse Tula 3 seater sofa which was then raffled off in a charity heads and tails challenge, raising £1650 for The Jessica Hope Foundation.
