Get the Look - Destination Warehouse

The industrial trend has been around for many seasons, popular for the relaxed and contemporary look it brings to an interior. Industrial decor perfectly complements old buildings and adds depth and interest to new ones.

The look combines exposed materials, metal fixtures and a pared-back colour palette inspired by old factories and converted warehouses for a raw utilitarian appeal. But for Autumn 2017, we're putting a new spin on the industrial look.

Our Destination Warehouse trend brings a cosier and more comfortable feel to an industrial setting. With the addition of fresh greenery and soft furnishings, it's perfect for creating a mellow urban vibe. It's industrial chic at it's dressed up best!

Here's how to get the Destination Warehouse look.

Industrial-Inspired Style

Classic industrial style is the basis of this trend, however you don't have to live in a loft apartment to get the look. Start by setting the scene with a mix of grays, neutrals and rustic colours. Exposed brick walls can be re-created with wallpaper, while industrial light fittings are an easy way to transform your space into an urban setting.

When it comes to furniture, look for simple, stripped down pieces such as a leather sofa, a solid dining table and structured shelving. Mix materials such as metal, concrete and wood for an authentic warehouse-inspired look.

Rustic Reclaimed Materials

Pared-back industrial interiors can often feel cold and harsh. For a more homely take on the industrial trend, our Destination Warehouse look combines hard metals with warm, lived-in woods.

Reclaimed woods are perfect for creating that imperfect industrial feel thanks to their worn and weathered finish. Not only do they look good but they're eco-friendly too - not a single tree had to be cut down to create our range of reclaimed furniture.

To get the look, hunt out reclaimed pieces that complement industrial style, such as the Winnie Coffee Table with its metal hairpin legs.

Splashes of Greenery

Destination Warehouse brings the outdoors in, with splashes of green that provide a fresh pop of colour. An interior must-have this season, plants such as succulents and ferns are the perfect way to inject life and colour to a room, making a house feel like a home.

Put an industrial twist on your house plants by displaying them in rustic metal planters and concrete pots. Our set of 2 metal buckets are perfect for adding a rustic edge to a room.

Cosy Finishing Touches

When it comes to adding industrial style to your interior, the key to creating a beautiful space is in the finish touches. Blend classic industrial elements with softer furnishings for a comfortable and cosy feel that's perfect for every day living.

Introduce colour, texture through layers of textiles such as cushions and faux fur throws. Not only will they look great, but they will keep you warm in the colder months.
