We all know what loft living looks like – even if we’re not lucky enough to own a live-in warehouse, many of us have embraced open-plan living in our homes.

Our Sierra Nevada collection takes a new approach to industrial-chic, where the warm tones of wood and leather blend with brushed metals and edgy accessories to create a cool, creative ambience in which to relax with friends.

The Vega Dining Range is the perfect choice for this look thanks to its clean lines and natural, organic spirit. Inspired by mid-twentieth century designs, the range embraces the characteristics of solid hardwood and combines them with raw cast iron legs in a 1960s shape for plenty of style.

I’ve pared the handmade oak dining table from the range with the matching bench and Hix Dining Chairs, which mirror the funky, splayed style of the table legs.

This look is all about high-impact shapes and designs – and the Smoked Grey Simplicity Vase with its asymmetrical shape works well here. Similarly, the Copper Candlestick hits the spot and ticks both the geometric and copper trend boxes nicely.

Lighting is understated but very much industrial, opt for matt metals with a simple design such as this Satin Grey Floor Lamp. Eclectic is the key word for this look, so mix and match pieces for a lived-in, unique feel.

Satin Grey Floor Lamp

No warehouse pad would be complete without exposed bricks and floorboards – or in this room set, we opted for polished concrete flooring for its ultra-modern feel.

If this level of commitment isn’t quite for you, opt for a rough-luxe wallpaper that provides your dining area with real stand-out. Tektura has a great range of distinctive wallpapers, I love the brown and cream grid-like pattern of the Nomadics 17281 design.

Add a little rock and roll to the room with a collection of framed album covers. Printed on high quality heavyweight matt-coated paper and set within a deep black frame, a collection of Athena Album Art pieces grouped together create an eclectic focal point.

Mix things up with a few pieces on the more luxe end of the scale. I’ve dressed the Vega Mono Sideboard with an eclectic range of accessories, including the Corrugated Vase in black and bronze and the super-stylish Copper Capsule Table Lamp.

Finish the look with some potted cactus plants for a touch of Sierra Nevada mountain spirit.
