We’ve partnered with iconic British furniture maker ercol to showcase two new exciting designer collaborations for the brand.
The ercol Marino occasional chair designed by Dylan Freeth has made its worldwide debut with Barker and Stonehouse. Created from the ercol Design Studio, the Marino chair, created in solid ash timber, references the qualities and features of ercol design classics through a considered design aesthetic. It’s an elegant piece with flowing lines and turned elements, combined with exceptional craftsmanship to create a striking, contemporary armchair.
We are also retailing new designs first shown by ercol at this year’s Milan Furniture Fair, the world’s most important showcase for design.
This new collection, NEST, is the result of ercol’s collaboration with the internationally renowned Italian designer Paola Navone. Consisting of two sofas, NEST was developed with Paola Navone and her design studio in Milan and the ercol design team and factory in Princes Risborough, England.
The sofas – which blend ercol’s signature style of shaped and steam-bent beech, with the cool, clean lines of Paola Navone – combine a wooden frame with loose upholstery which will be available in a variety of fabrics.
We have a long-standing partnership with ercol and have stocked a wide variety of the brand’s furniture, from the much loved Originals – first produced in the mid-20th century – to contemporary collections such as Cosenza (pictured below) and Romana. From elegant sideboards to stylish and comfortable sofas, each piece of ercol furniture is designed in-house by the ercol team and manufactured using traditional skills and techniques that it has employed for nearly 100 years.
The Aluetta is a stylishly designed classic sofa collection with an elegant silhouette and sumptuous deep comfortable cushions. The shape is further defined by archetypical solid oak legs that give it, its ercol identity.
