Each and every home we deliver to receives the undivided attention of a friendly and highly trained team. They’ll not only deliver your furniture, but make sure it’s in the room you want it to be. Experts in guiding your furniture through the tightest of spaces and most awkward of spots, these delivery ninjas can operate in homes of every shape and size.


We care about the environment and we know you do too which is why we’ve introduced our new long-distance delivery time slots. When we’re delivering to you from afar, we make sure to time this with deliveries to other customers close-by to help reduce the carbon footprint of your delivery. So, once you’ve placed your order we will agree a week for delivery. The week before your delivery we will contact you by text twice; once to confirm the exact day and the other to confirm the exact time, so you always know exactly where you stand. See? Easy and eco-friendly!

Leave the recycling to us

Besides taking away any packaging, your delivery team can – for a small charge – remove and recycle your old furniture. By employing our own fleet of drivers and customer support staff (rather than farming things out to a third party) we can keep standards high. And if you have any queries, we’re more than happy to take a call if you want to discuss your delivery with a real person.

We try to keep delivery prices as competitive as possible and always aim to offer best possible value for money with a service that’s second to none. As you can see from the table below, prices vary depending on which delivery option you choose and what you’ve ordered.

Mattress, Bar Stools, Mirrors and Bedsides As soon as your full order is in stock, we’ll call you to arrange delivery. Usually, your item should be delivered within two weeks of coming into stock*. £29
Accessories As soon as your full order is in stock, it will be despatched to your home. Accessories will be delivered within three working days of coming into stock. £3.95
Rugs As soon as your full order is in stock, it will be despatched to your home. Rugs will be delivered within three days of coming into stock. £5.95

Answering your delivery questions…

Next to the item online, you’ll see when the item is either due in stock or if it’s already in and ready to go. Once in stock, larger items take up to two weeks to deliver, whilst accessories should be with you in three days.
No, you don’t. We know you’ve got more important things to do. That’s why we send you a text with a two-hour delivery slot, so you can get on with the rest of your day. Just remember to provide us with your mobile number you use the most with your order details.
Whilst our delivery team are used to dealing with tricky spaces, they do need to know if there are any difficulties to deal with on arrival. You can let us know if you think there may be a problem by letting us know in the comments box at the website checkout.
Whilst we do everything we can to make sure your order gets to you when promised, sometimes the unexpected can cause a delay. You can be sure that if this happens, we’ll be working hard to put things right as quickly as possible. In the meantime, you can always get a live update by calling our sales team on 0333 355 9359.
When furniture arrives in our warehouse, it undergoes a thorough pre-delivery inspection to make sure it hasn’t suffered any damage on its way to us. That way, you get your order in the condition you expect it to be in. To do this properly, we have to remove some or all of the packaging.
Currently, we don’t deliver overseas. But what we can do is deliver to any UK mainland port for our standard charge of £49. From there, you’re free to make your own shipping arrangements.
Of course we can. At Barker and Stonehouse, we’ve been recycling all our packaging for over a decade. And now, we’ll take away your old furniture too. For a small charge of £50, we’ll load, transport and deliver any furniture that’s in good enough condition for re-sale to The British Heart Foundation. Anything else, we make sure is properly recycled. To take advantage of this service, just add the recycling option to your order at the checkout.
