I feel compelled to email you a note to say thank you as I am sure that you probably don't often get thank you's from customers. My husband and I purchased some furniture from you a few months ago for our bedroom - I believe it was the Rhode Island range (two double wardrobes, a chest of drawers unit and bedside table). Whilst the delivery time was a bit of a pain (although completely expected as it is with all furniture orders) the furniture you provided was absolutely stunning. My husband and I are in our late twenties and have been together for ten years. We have moved from a small rented flat to a 2 up, 2 down, into our current 3bed house. I can honestly say every piece of furniture we have purchased - from sofa, dining room furniture, previous bedroom furniture, etc, has either been faulty, parts missing, problems with delays in delivery (we waited 6 months for our sofa for them to eventually deliver the wrong one!!). We were very apprehensive about purchasing furniture over the internet as we could not inspect it first. This is the first time we have bought large items from the web. We found your site via Google and the photos and zoom section of the pictures was excellent and so we decided to gamble. In truth, we had both prepared to send the furniture back when it arrived and had continued to look around for furniture. When the furniture arrived, my husband sent me a photograph to my phone with all the boxes and told me it was 'flat pack'. I can honestly say I almost passed out as I thought the delivery men were either putting the furniture together or that it would come as a whole unit (obviously not thinking how they would get it up the stairs). My nerves were more so as my husband previously 'accidentally' drilled a hole in the wall in the bathroom, causing £16k of damage to bathroom, bedroom and kitchen, which all had to be ripped out and replaced (having only decorated a year before) and so when I had thought of him putting this furniture together, along with his lack of patience and my ability to get nothing right in these situations, I can honestly say I had considered not going home! However.... although flat-packed, most of the furniture was together and it was simply attaching the top to the bottom, the instructions were clear and there were no screws missing! The furniture is beautiful and there is not one minor scratch or mark - it is completely perfect. I appreciate I am waffling slightly but I wanted to just say a huge thank you for such lovely furniture and a flawless process in between! It has made such a difference to us not having to argue with anyone or have the hassle of waiting for more or returning it. Just to give a recent history, we also ordered dining room furniture from another furniture retailer in January. It cost around £1600 for a table with six chairs and a side unit. It arrived after 6 weeks and there were 32 marks (scratches, dents, bumps, faults) on every piece of the furniture. We had to wait a further 8 weeks for a new lot of furniture to be delivered - it came with no chairs, a 30cm split in the table top and a hole the size of a tennis ball in the ball. We duly sent that back and requested a refund. For some reason, last week they sent a third set - again with no chairs, and again faulty. We sent that back and again asked for a refund. We have been calling, writing, emailing and only yesterday did they agree to a refund but have told us we must wait a further 4 weeks for them to collect the first set of furniture and only then will be getting out money. So, you will see, a nightmare!! I just wanted to thank you for a flawless service and we will be back!! |
