team, they commission some of the best in British design talent, to bring you
some outstanding furniture. Their designs constantly evolve to reflect how you
live today, whilst continuing to reflect ercol’s quality and craftsmanship.
Practicality as well as looks, be it in the capacious storage of their
sideboards and bedroom furniture, their ranges of occasional furniture catering
for today’s electronics and lifestyles, the flexibility of their extending
dining tables, the comfort of their upholstery, or the smooth movement of their
recliners. What’s more their upholstery is designed so that you can replace the
covers when they wear out or when you fancy a new look, through their reCover
service.
A great British company, ercol has invested heavily in UK
manufacturing, moving to a state of the art, purpose built new factory in
Buckinghamshire in 2002. The long service of their workforce provide the skilled
craftsmen needed to make ercol furniture. Caring for the environment comes
naturally to ercol, with their energy efficient factory with its biomass boiler
fuelled by our wood waste, their avoidance of solvent based finishes, in favour
of more environmentally friendly water based finishes, and of course in the use
of timber from naturally regenerative forests in Europe and America to make
their furniture.
Ercol Originals
Since 1920 Ercol has been making classic, timeless pieces of
furniture. We are delighted to reissue a small selection of some of our
favourite pieces. Made in small volumes these pieces offer a unique and
distinctive product. Designed in the 1950’s by the company’s founder, Lucian
Ercolani, these pieces are as appropriate to today’s living as they were when
they were originally issued.
